Retirement of Ken and Lois

Over the coming week we will bid a sad farewell to our Rector Ken Boullier and his wife Lois. Ken and Lois are moving into a new phase of their lives by retiring from decades of ministry in the Church. They have served the parish of St Mawes and St Just for the last ten years and we give thanks for all that they have contributed here. The parish has been very well cared for under their watch and they will be sorely missed.

Ken’s final service at St Mawes will take place on the 3rd June (9.30am) and his final service at St Just on the 10th June (11am). There is an opportunity for the wider community to come and wish them well on the 9th June at 3pm in the Memorial Hall. All are warmly invited to come along.

The parish will enter a time of transition as it seeks to discern and find a new Vicar. Rev’d Arwen Folkes remains in post as the Assistant Curate enabling the parish to continue its full ministry during this period. Any enquiries should be made via the parish office on 01326 270871 as the Rectory phone number will no longer be used.

We ask for your prayers for Ken and Lois, and for the parish as we enter this time. For all that has been we say ‘Thank you’, and for all that is to come, we say ‘yes’. May God bless Ken and Lois with a happily quiet and fulfilling retirement.
