First Mass of our Curate

St Just in Roseland Church was delighted to be the setting for the first service Holy Eucharist of our Assistant-Curate, Arwen Folkes. The service followed her ordination as priest the day before at Truro Cathedral. Over 100 people from across the Roseland (and beyond!) came along to the Sunday service which was beautifully accompanied by the singing of The Roseland Churches Choir, and a wise and thoughtful sermon – on the role of priest and church as bridge builders- from The Rev’d Dr Will Lamb, Vicar of St Mary’s University Church in Oxford. The service was followed by glorious sunshine and a lovely lunch. Thank you to all who came, contributed, and celebrated with us.
