We offer a safe place for young people of the parish to socialise and hang out through the Autumn and Winter months. Our Youth Club runs on Friday evenings, 7-9pm, between October and March in the St Mawes Church Rooms.

Who can come?
The Window Youth Club is open for any young person of (or with strong connection to) the parish and between the ages of 10 – 15 (school years 6-10). We open on Friday evenings during the months with Standard Time (darker evenings). We provide a range of activities and a tuck shop. See below! Young people can come for a ‘try-it-out’ session and once a parent gives consent, we can accept them as a full member.
The Space
Youth Club runs in the St Mawes Church Rooms and uses all the space to create a varied and interesting place for the parish’s young people to hang out and socialise with each other. We offer an x-box, beanbags, tuckshop, craft activities, games, and music.
We have one rule which is ‘Respect’. Respect for ourselves, for the space, for each other, for the language we use, and for the volunteers.
The Youth Club is overseen by a group of parents and Church members, and all our volunteers are DBS checked in line with our parish policy. We run each evening with one key worker and a parent helper. We are grateful for parents who offer to volunteer once a month as we couldn’t go ahead without them!
If you’d like to join please download the consent form below and email it to our Pastoral Outreach Worker, Sue Peake Young, at pastoral@stjustandstmawes.org.uk.
We are so grateful to the following organisations for their generosity and support:

Theme nights
As well as our core activities, we also provide theme nights and trips out. In our first year we went to the St Mawes Hotel secret cinema for a Christmas Film, to the Zebedees Youth Cafe & Music Studio in Truro, and we ended our season with a beach and water-sports night. This coming year we hope to visit i:bounce in Bodmin, visit the secret cinema at St Mawes Hotel, and to have a barbecue and sleep-over. We hope you will come and join in!
