Stitch and Chat is a very informal get together in one another’s homes. We bring something to do, knitting, mending, sewing or just come for the cuppa and chat.
The group came out of the church restoration project a few years ago to make the many beautiful kneelers in St Just in Roseland Church. We don’t have a regular day to meet, it depends on the person offering their home as a venue to meet. We advertise through the church news sheet and the Enewsletter, on Facebook, by email and also on our website.
If you would like to be involved please drop us a line at the Church office.
Who we are …
We are a friendly group of people who live nearby, and we just love getting together and getting to know new people. New members are always welcome – just look out for our next meeting in the newsletter or on the Parish calendar. We usually meet on weekdays.
Our projects …
We also make up little crosses out of hazel or willow wood and wool, as well as making up prayer shells for the many visitors to our churches. We are so pleased that so many people notice our first project (the kneelers) when they come into the churches.
Could you host us?
If you’d like to offer a venue for ‘Stitch and Chat’ we’d be really grateful. Please contact the Church office, who will put you in touch with the group’s organiser.
